Registered Adults
- In order to protect those adults who
participate in Troop activities by driving Scouts, we must insist that ALL
adults who drive and participate be registered with the BSA. This is mainly an
insurance issue. BSA insurance is the secondary insurance in all cases where
an automobile accident is involved. BSA will only provide this secondary
insurance to registered adults.
- All adults participating with the Troop will
maintain a current Youth Protection certification. This is not limited to only
registered adults and leaders but ALL adults who attend any type of a Troop
event with the exception of regular Troop Meetings and Courts of Honor.
- All registered adults will submit to a
Background Check as mandated by the BSA. No adult may work with any of the
Scouts unless they are a registered adult with current Youth Protection with
the exception of Merit Badge Counselors. Merit Badge Counselors only need fill
out the Adult Application (no cost) and have Youth Protection Certification.
- Change of Address, phone numbers or email
addresses will be conveyed to the Troop’s Health and Safety Chair as soon as
is practical.
